A highly efficient low water volume chlorine dioxide generator. The system uses:- Cloxide R - a modified sodium chlorite precursor for the generation of chlorine dioxide. Catalytic Conversion Cartridge - a catalytic granular bed (Pt/Al2O3) selected for high activity and fast conversion of chlorous acid to chlorine dioxide. The Cloxide R is passed through an ion exchange column, forming chlorous acid. This then passes through the catalyst which assists the conversion of chlorous acid to chlorine dioxide. The end product is very pure chlorine dioxide. The chlorine dioxide output stream is delivered directly via a digital dosing injection system(s) on a proportional basis from either an impulse water meter or flow monitor. This system has no self regeneration capability. Upon exhaustion, the ion exchange columns are exchanged for regenerated columns. These are processed at our Clearwater regional centres. The unit is totally managed by a Clearwater Chlorine Dioxide Service Programme, making this an ideal unit for sites with limited engineering capabilities.
