Risk Assessor (Scotland)
We are looking for a flexible and conscientious ACOP L8 Legionella Risk Assessor with a minimum of two years experience to join our highly successful team of Consultants in our SafeCare division. Successful applicants will ideally have experience in the following:
- Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments
- Domestic Water Systems
- Cooling Towers
- The Approved Code of Practice and guidance (L8) “Legionnaires’ disease: The control of legionella bacteria in water systems”.
- Report Writing and Schematic Layout Drawings
The role will involve promoting and undertaking ACOP L8 Legionella Risk Assessments to new and existing clients and producing comprehensive and detailed reports. The ability to undertake Ventilation Hygiene Surveys, Indoor Air Quality Assessments, and/or Fire Risk Assessments is desirable but not essential.
Candidates should also have a City and Guilds or similar ACOP L8 Risk Assessor qualification and be able to produce assessments that help enable our clients demonstrate compliance with their health and safety requirements. Knowledge of the management and control of water quality is also essential.
Candidates with a passion for Legionella Risk Assessing will be interviewed and selected against the following competencies: problem solving, people skills, and identifying priorities. Attention to detail, managing deadlines and communication skills are also essential.
The successful candidate should have good team working skills and the ability to work on own initiative, be committed, be customer focused, have good communication skills and a professional manner in supporting our customers and work colleagues. Ideal candidates will possess a good degree of computer literacy.

This job will be mainly based in Leeds but you must also be flexible in travelling to locations.
