Legionella Control – legionella awareness

Course Objective:
To provide course delegates with background introduction to Legionella bacteria and Legionnaires Disease within the built environment. It will also provide necessary information on safe water system management and maintenance to ensure control measures and monitoring practices are correctly implemented to achieve compliance with the requirements of the Approved Code of Practice & Guidance document: Legionnaires’ disease – The control of legionella bacteria in water systems (L8).
Who should attend:
Site management and maintenance personnel whose role and responsibility it is to manage, supervise or carry out routine maintenance tasks which ensure safe storage and usage of water systems, as well as ensuring correct recording of all tasks/actions in site log book format.
Legionella Control – The Role of a Responsible Person

Course Objective:
To provide the course delegates with the information required to fully understand their role and responsibilities as the nominated ‘Responsible Person’ to enable them to ensure effective management of their water systems and to identify, remove and control avoidable risks in accordance with the requirements of the Approved Code of Practice & Guidance document: Legionnaires’ disease – The control of legionella bacteria in water systems (L8).
Who should attend:
Building Owners, Company Directors or Senior Managers identified as the person responsible for implementing compliance with the Approved Code of Practice (L8).
Legionella Control – Cooling Towers and Associated Water Systems

Course Objective:
To provide course delegates with practical information on the safe operation of cooling towers and associated systems to ensure effective maintenance, treatment and monitoring regimes can be implemented. The course will cover legal aspects and statutory obligations and will provide cooling tower operators with the necessary information to achieve compliance with the requirements of the Approved Code of Practice & Guidance document: Legionnaires’ disease – The control of legionella bacteria in water systems (L8).
Who should attend:
Managers and maintenance personnel, who are wholly or partly responsible for legal compliance and the safe operation of their evaporative cooling tower and associated systems.
Legionella Control – Hot and cold water systems
Code: W38d
Course Objective:
To provide course delegates with practical information on the safe operation and maintenance of domestic water systems within the built environment. To ensure effective monitoring regimes are implemented and compliant with the Approved Code of Practice & Guidance document: Legionnaires’ disease – The control of legionella bacteria in water systems (L8). The course will cover statutory obligations and technical information on safe system design.
Who should attend:
Managers and maintenance personnel, who are wholly or partly responsible for legal compliance, safe water supply and the effective operation of the domestic water systems with their buildings.
Training Certification:
Delegates will receive a printed copy of the powerpoint presentation to keep upon completion.A City & Guilds Certificate will be awarded on successful completion of the course verification test. A Clearwater attendance certificate will be available to personnel who fail to reach the required course pass mark.
