Hard waters contain a number of substances that become less soluble as temperatures vary. This is the main cause of scaling in water systems.

Scale is undesirable in water systems since it coats the inside of piping and acts as an insulator. If left untreated it can lead to blockages and system shut down.

To combat this problem Clearwater provide a full range of services for base exchange water softeners (pre-treatment plants) including; supply, installation, sterilisation, servicing, refurbishment and after sales service. We also manufacture chemical products which can be applied internally to minimise scaling within water systems.

It is recommended that water softeners are sterilised and serviced at 6 monthly intervals in order to prevent bacteriological growth.
