The main factors affecting the efficiency of steam plants are scale, corrosion, fouling and foaming.

Scale is undesirable in water systems since it coats the inside of piping and acts as an insulator. If left untreated it can lead to blockages and system shut down.

To combat this problem Clearwater provide a full range of services for base exchange water softeners (pre-treatment plants), including; supply, installation, sterilisation, servicing, refurbishment and repair. We also manufacture chemical products which can be applied internally to minimise scaling within the steam boiler.

Boiler water is treated in order to optimise system performance, cleanliness and heat exchange efficiency. Clearwater give you the peace of mind that system performance is optimised and that the system satisfies the BS2486 recommendations for the treatment of water for steam boilers and water heaters.

We manufacture treatment chemicals to minimise corrosion within the condensate pipework and can apply fuel oil additives to the fire-side in order to improve combustion efficiency.

We also offer pre-commission and post commission cleaning services.
